Line OA (Line Official Account) is a Line account designed for various business uses. It is suitable for communicating with a large number of people and includes additional functionalities beyond those of a regular account. Moreover, Line OA can be connected with LLM APIs (Large Language Models) like ChatGPT or Claude to create a Line Chatbot that can interact directly with users. If you want to integrate your newly created Line OA with different LLMs, here’s how to do it.
Steps to Create a Line OA
There are two types of Line OA accounts you can create: Verified Account or Unverified Account. A verified account can be searched within Line Chat, and posters can be created. Here’s how to create an account:
- Go to Line for Business, select “Products & Services,” and navigate to “Line Official Account.”
- On the Line Official Account page, click to sign up for an official account.
- Log in with your existing Line Account using email, phone number, or QR code scan.
- Verify your account via SMS and fill in your company or store details as required.
- Your Line OA is now ready for use.
Steps to Connect API
- To enable your Line OA to use an API, follow these steps to integrate an AI chatbot.
- Go to the “Settings” page and select “Response settings.” Then click on “Messaging API settings,” indicated by a green text label.
- Enable Messaging API.
- Navigate to “Line Developers.”
- Choose “Console”
- Select the account you have enabled the API for to access the Channel Access Token page.
- Click “Issue” to generate a token that can be used to connect with other APIs.
By following these steps, you can create a Line OA and connect it with APIs like ChatGPT or Claude to set up an interactive Line Chatbot for your business.
