ทำไมการปรับแต่งกราฟถึงสำคัญพอๆ กับการทำ Data Model
ในมุมคนทำงานจริง หลายคนโฟกัสหนักไปที่การทำความสะอาดข้อมูลและการสร้างความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตาราง จนลืมไปว่าขั้นตอนสุดท้ายที่คนดู Dashboard จะเห็นคือ “หน้าตากราฟ” เท่านั้น ถ้ากราฟดูรก อ่านยาก หรือสีไม่สื่อความหมาย ต่อให้ข้อมูลข้างหลังแน่นแค่ไหนก็ไม่มีประโยชน์ เพราะคนอ่านจะตัดสินใจภายในไม่กี่วินาทีแรกว่าจะเชื่อหรือไม่เชื่อกราฟนั้น
จัดสีและใส่ Data Labels ให้กราฟเล่าเรื่องได้เอง
หนึ่งในสิ่งแรกที่ Lin แนะนำคือการเลือกใช้สีอย่างมีเหตุผล ไม่ใช่ปล่อยให้ Power BI สุ่มสีให้เอง เช่น ใช้สีเข้มเน้นเฉพาะแท่งหรือเส้นที่ต้องการให้คนดูโฟกัส ส่วนข้อมูลอื่นให้ใช้สีอ่อนหรือสีเทาคลุมโทนไว้ นอกจากนี้การเปิด Data Labels ให้ตัวเลขโชว์บนกราฟโดยตรง จะช่วยให้คนดูไม่ต้องกวาดสายตาไปหาแกนตลอดเวลา และการใส่หน่วย เช่น บาท หรือ % ต่อท้ายตัวเลขก็ช่วยลดความเข้าใจผิดได้มาก
ปรับ Tooltip และ Format ตัวเลขให้ดูเป็นมืออาชีพ
อีกจุดที่หลายคนมองข้ามคือ Tooltip หรือกล่องข้อความที่โผล่ขึ้นมาเวลาเอาเมาส์ไปชี้ที่กราฟ ถ้าปล่อยค่า Default ไว้ ตัวเลขอาจจะยาวเกินไปหรือไม่มีหน่วย ทำให้ดูไม่น่าเชื่อถือ Lin แนะนำให้เข้าไปปรับ Format ตัวเลขใน Format Pane ทั้งจำนวนทศนิยม การใส่ comma คั่นหลักพัน และการกำหนดหน่วยเงินหรือหน่วยเปอร์เซ็นต์ให้ตรงกับบริบทของข้อมูล เพื่อให้ทุกครั้งที่มีคนเอาเมาส์ไปชี้ พวกเขาจะได้ข้อมูลที่อ่านง่ายและถูกต้องทันที
รู้จัก Format Pane เครื่องมือที่ใช้บ่อยที่สุดแต่คนมองข้ามที่สุด

คำตอบจาก Lin คือคุ้มมาก เพราะเวลาที่เสียไปกับการปรับแต่งกราฟไม่กี่นาทีต่อกราฟ แลกกับความน่าเชื่อถือและความเข้าใจที่คนดู Dashboard จะได้รับ ถือว่าคุ้มค่ามาก โดยเฉพาะถ้า Dashboard นั้นต้องเอาไปพรีเซนต์ให้ผู้บริหารหรือลูกค้าดู เพราะภาพแรกที่เขาเห็นจะเป็นตัวตัดสินว่าเขาจะเชื่อข้อมูลของเราหรือไม่ ก่อนที่จะไปดูรายละเอียดลึกๆ ด้วยซ้ำ

Clean up tooltips and number formatting for a more professional look
Another detail people often overlook is the tooltip, the small box that appears when hovering over a chart. Left at its default settings, numbers can look too long or lack units, which makes the chart feel less credible. Lin recommends going into the Format pane to set decimal places, thousands separators, and the correct currency or percent format for the context of the data, so that every time someone hovers over a data point, they get information that is accurate and easy to read immediately.
Get comfortable with the Format pane, the most-used but most-ignored tool
The Format pane in Power BI splits into two main areas: Visual, which controls settings specific to that chart such as colors, axes, and the legend, and General, which controls size, position, background, and shadow. Lin emphasizes that anyone who wants dashboards to look professional should get comfortable navigating this pane, because nearly everything you would want to adjust, axis titles, font size, gridlines, lives inside it.
Is it worth the extra time
Lin answer is a clear yes. The few extra minutes spent formatting each chart pay off in credibility and clarity for whoever is viewing the dashboard, especially when it is being presented to executives or clients. The first impression a chart makes often decides whether people trust the data behind it, even before they dig into the details.
