ใครที่เป็นแฟน Claude Cowork ห้ามพลาดเลยค่ะ เพราะตอนนี้ฝั่ง ChatGPT ก็มีตัวลุยงานแบบเดียวกันชื่อว่า Codex ที่ทำงานได้แทบจะเทียบเท่ากันแล้ว ในคลิปนี้ลินพาไปดูงานจริงงานเดียวกัน ทำทั้งบน Claude Cowork และ Codex แล้วมาเทียบข้อดีข้อเสียกันแบบจะๆ ว่าตัวไหนเหมาะกับใคร (สรุปจากคลิป EP71 ของช่อง Lin Davoy)
รู้จัก Claude Cowork กันก่อน
Claude Cowork เป็นโปรแกรมจากฝั่ง Claude ที่เข้าถึงคอมพิวเตอร์ของเราได้ ใช้เบราว์เซอร์ของเราได้ และเรียกใช้เครื่องมือต่าง ๆ ได้ เช่น อ่าน PDF แปลง PDF เป็น Excel เขียนโค้ด Python หรือสร้างกราฟให้เรา แต่ถ้าถามว่าอะไรคือจุดที่โหดที่สุด คำตอบคือการที่น้องใช้เว็บเบราว์เซอร์แทนเราได้ ซึ่งตรงนี้เป็นกำแพงที่ automation หลายเจ้าทำไม่ได้ ลองนึกภาพว่าถ้าเราเขียน Python เอง พอหน้าเว็บเปลี่ยนโครงสร้างสคริปต์ก็พังทันที แต่ Cowork ใช้วิธีแคปหน้าจอแล้วถาม AI อีกทีว่าหน้านี้ต้องกดตรงไหน ทำให้ทำงานกับเว็บได้ค่อนข้างเสถียร และเพราะมันเป็นเบราว์เซอร์ในเครื่องเราจริง ๆ เว็บต่าง ๆ ก็ยังมองว่าเป็นคนใช้อยู่ เลยไม่ค่อยโดนระบบดักจับบอทด้วยค่ะ
แล้ว Codex ล่ะ คืออะไร?
Codex มาจากค่าย ChatGPT หน้าตาแทบจะเหมือนกันเลย และมีความสามารถเดียวกันคือใช้เบราว์เซอร์ของเราได้เหมือนกัน จุดต่างแรกคือฝั่ง OpenAI ไม่แยกผลิตภัณฑ์ว่าเป็นตัวเขียนโค้ดหรือตัวทำงานทั่วไป Codex ตัวเดียวจบ ขณะที่ฝั่ง Claude (ณ วันที่อัดคลิป ซึ่งของพวกนี้เปลี่ยนบ่อยมาก) ยังแยกเป็น Claude Code กับ Claude Cowork อยู่ ถ้าให้เห็นภาพ อยากให้มอง Codex เป็นเสมือน Claude Code คือถูกสอนมาให้คิดแบบโค้ดก่อน พยายามเขียนสคริปต์แก้ปัญหาเป็นหลัก ส่วน Cowork จะใช้เครื่องมือหลากหลายกว่าหน่อย แล้วค่อยตีกลับไปเขียนโค้ดเมื่อจำเป็น ที่น่าสนใจคือตอนติดตั้ง Codex น้องถามเลยว่าจะ import การตั้งค่าทั้งหมดรวมถึงสกิลจาก Claude Cowork มาไหม ย้ายค่ายได้แบบไม่ต้องตั้งอะไรใหม่เลยค่ะ
โจทย์ทดสอบจริง: โหลด PDF กองโต รวมเป็น Excel แล้วทำกราฟ
โจทย์ที่ใช้ทดสอบเป็นงานจริงในมุมคนทำงาน คือเข้าเว็บที่เราไปฝากขายของ ต้องล็อกอินก่อน ข้างในมี PDF กองมหาศาล ต้องกดดาวน์โหลดออกมาทั้งหมด เอามารวม (combine) เป็น Excel เพื่อสรุปยอดขาย แล้วปิดท้ายด้วยกราฟง่าย ๆ ว่าแต่ละเดือนขายของได้กี่ชิ้น โดยมีสอนสกิลไว้ให้แล้วว่าล็อกอินยังไง ไฟล์อยู่ตรงไหน
ผลคือทั้งคู่ทำได้ครบทั้ง 3 ขั้นตอน แต่วิธีต่างกันชัดเจน Claude Cowork ใช้เบราว์เซอร์กดดาวน์โหลดแล้วรวมไฟล์มาเป็น Excel พร้อมกราฟให้เรียบร้อย ส่วน Codex เลือกเขียนสคริปต์ Python เพื่อดาวน์โหลดไฟล์ทั้งหมดแทนการกดทีละไฟล์ แล้วก็รันโค้ดรวมไฟล์ออกมาเป็น Excel ได้ไฟล์เดียวกัน กราฟหน้าตาเหมือนกันเลย เรียกว่าผลลัพธ์สุดท้ายแทบไม่ต่างกัน

🇬🇧 EP71: Codex vs Claude Cowork — Which Agent Really Does Your Work?
If you are a Claude Cowork fan, meet its serious rival: Codex from the ChatGPT camp, which now works almost on par. In this episode Lin runs the exact same real-world job on both agents and compares the pros and cons side by side. (Summarized from EP71 on the Lin Davoy channel.)
What is Claude Cowork?
Claude Cowork is Claude’s agent that can access your computer, use your browser, and call tools — reading PDFs, converting PDFs to Excel, writing Python, building charts. Its killer feature is using your web browser on your behalf, a wall most automation tools cannot climb. If you script a website with plain Python, one layout change breaks everything; Cowork instead screenshots the page and asks the AI where to click, which makes it remarkably stable. And because it drives a real local browser, websites still think a human is behind the keyboard, so it rarely trips bot detection.
And Codex?
Codex comes from the ChatGPT camp, looks nearly identical, and can also drive your browser. The first difference: OpenAI ships one product, while Claude (as of recording — this changes fast) still splits Claude Code and Claude Cowork. Think of Codex as the equivalent of Claude Code: it is trained code-first, preferring to solve problems by writing scripts, whereas Cowork leans on a wider set of tools and falls back to code when needed. A nice touch: during installation Codex offers to import all your Claude Cowork settings, including your skills, so switching camps requires no re-setup at all.
The real-world test: download PDFs, combine to Excel, chart it
The test job: log in to a consignment sales website, download a huge pile of PDFs, combine them into one Excel summary, then produce a simple chart of units sold per month. A skill had already been taught covering how to log in and where the files live. Both agents completed all three steps — but in very different styles. Cowork clicked through the browser to download and then assembled the Excel and chart. Codex wrote a Python script to download everything instead of clicking file by file, then ran more Python to combine them. Same Excel, same chart, essentially identical outcomes.

The practical verdict
Lin admits she has officially stopped bullying GPT: with a browser, Codex is genuinely smart and nearly matches Cowork. She still personally prefers Claude Cowork for its more careful thinking and planning. But if you already pay for ChatGPT, or your workflow touches Facebook (which Cowork refuses to open), Codex is excellent value. One tip: never ask Codex to generate images — it draws them as SVG code. Make your images on chatgpt.com, where they come out vastly prettier.
