🇹🇭 Microsoft Copilot แต่ละแบบต่างกันอย่างไร?

คำถามที่เจอบ่อยมาก ๆ คือ Copilot ที่มากับคอมใหม่ กับ Copilot ใน Office 365 มันตัวเดียวกันไหม? แล้วตัวไหนฟรี ตัวไหนเสียเงิน ตัวไหนปลอดภัยกับข้อมูลบริษัท? วันนี้มาไล่ให้ดูทีละตัวแบบเข้าใจง่าย ๆ ค่ะ (สรุปจากคลิปของช่อง Lin Davoy)

1) Copilot บน PC — ตัวที่แถมมากับ Windows

ใครซื้อคอมใหม่จะเห็น Copilot ติดเครื่องมาเลย เบื้องหลังของมันก็คือ ChatGPT นั่นแหละค่ะ เพราะ Microsoft ลงทุนใน OpenAI ด้วยเงินมหาศาล แล้วเอาโมเดล GPT มาฝังไว้ใน Copilot ตัวนี้มีโหมดให้เลือกหลายแบบ ทั้ง Quick Response ถามไวตอบไว โหมดคิดลึก Study and Learn, Deep Research, เว็บเสิร์ช หรือถ้าเลือกไม่ถูกจะให้ GPT-5 ช่วยตัดสินให้ก็ได้ แถมคุยด้วยเสียงได้ด้วย

สิ่งที่ต้องระวังมาก ๆ: ข้างล่างหน้าจอจะมีตัวหนังสือเล็ก ๆ เขียนไว้ว่าบทสนทนาของเราจะถูกนำไป personalize และช่วยเทรน AI แปลว่าข้อมูลที่เราพิมพ์อาจถูกนำไปเทรนโมเดลได้ค่ะ โชคดีที่เขามีปุ่ม opt-out ให้ เข้าไปที่ตั้งค่าแล้วปิด Model Training ได้เลย ใครใช้ตัวนี้อยู่อย่าลืมไปปิดนะคะ

2) Microsoft Copilot — Personal กับ Work Account

ตัวถัดมาคือ Microsoft Copilot ที่แยกเป็น 2 ก้อน ก้อนแรกคือแบบ Personal ใช้ผ่านหน้าเว็บหรือปุ่มมุมบนของ Microsoft Edge ด้วยบัญชีส่วนตัว ส่วนก้อนที่แนะนำมากคือแบบ Work Account ที่มากับ Office 365 ค่ะ ใครใช้ Excel, PowerPoint ออนไลน์, SharePoint หรือ Teams อยู่แล้ว ลอง sign in เข้า m365.cloud.microsoft ดูได้เลย

คำถามยอดฮิตคือ “อันนี้เสียตังค์ไหม ที่ออฟฟิศไม่ให้ใช้” คำตอบคือตัว Copilot Chat นี้ฟรีค่ะ พิมพ์คุย แนบไฟล์ ให้ช่วยสร้าง document หรือ presentation ได้เลย และยังมี Microsoft Designer ที่แยกออกมาเป็นเว็บของตัวเองสำหรับ generate รูปภาพ ใช้ฟรีเหมือนกันค่ะ

3) แล้วตัวฟรีกับตัวเสียเงินต่างกันตรงไหน?

ตัวเสียเงินที่เป็นไลเซนส์ Microsoft 365 Copilot จะมีสิ่งที่เรียกว่า Office Skills ค่ะ คือน้องเอาตัวเองไปฝังในโปรแกรม Office ได้เลย เช่น สร้าง PowerPoint ให้จากในโปรแกรม เขียนสูตร Excel ให้ตรงนั้น อ่านข้อมูลใน Excel แล้วสรุปให้ สร้างไฟล์ Excel ให้ใหม่ หรือใน Outlook ก็ให้ช่วย revise และรีไรท์อีเมลได้ในตัว ส่วนตัวฟรีที่เป็นแชท เราต้องคุยกับน้องแล้ว copy สูตรหรือข้อความไปแปะเองอีกทีหนึ่งค่ะ

เรื่องความปลอดภัยของข้อมูล — ดูคำว่า M365

จุดสังเกตสำคัญคือ ถ้า Copilot ตัวไหนมีคำว่า 365 หรือ M365 มันจะมากับสิ่งที่เรียกว่า Enterprise Data Protection คือ Microsoft สัญญาว่าจะไม่เอาข้อมูลของเราไปเทรนโมเดลหรือเอาไปขายค่ะ เพราะฉะนั้นถ้าทำงานกับข้อมูล sensitive ของบริษัท ให้เลือกใช้ Copilot ที่มีแบรนด์ M365 เท่านั้น ซึ่งมีทั้งแบบฟรี (Copilot Chat) และแบบเสียเงิน (ไลเซนส์ M365 Copilot)

สรุปในมุมคนทำงานจริง: ใช้งานส่วนตัวทั่วไป Copilot บน PC ก็เพียงพอ (แต่อย่าลืมปิด model training) ถ้าเป็นงานออฟฟิศให้เริ่มจาก Copilot Chat ตัวฟรีที่มากับ work account ก่อน เพราะได้ Enterprise Data Protection ฟรี ๆ ส่วนไลเซนส์เสียเงินค่อยพิจารณาเมื่ออยากให้ AI ฝังเข้าไปทำงานใน Excel, PowerPoint และ Outlook ให้เลยจริง ๆ ค่ะ

🇬🇧 Microsoft Copilot Explained: Which One Is Which?

One of the most common questions I get: is the Copilot that comes with a new PC the same as the one in Office 365? Which is free, which is paid, and which one is safe for company data? Here is a plain-language breakdown. (Summarized from a video on the Lin Davoy channel.)

1) Copilot on your PC — the one bundled with Windows

Buy a new computer and Copilot is right there. Under the hood it is essentially ChatGPT — Microsoft invested heavily in OpenAI and embedded GPT models into Copilot. It offers several modes: Quick Response, deeper reasoning, Study and Learn, Deep Research, web search, or you can let GPT-5 pick for you. Voice chat works too.

The big caveat: in the small print at the bottom, it says your conversations are personalized and help train AI. That means your data can be used for model training. Thankfully there is an opt-out — go into settings and turn off model training. If you use this version, do it now.

2) Microsoft Copilot — Personal vs Work account

Microsoft Copilot comes in two flavors: Personal (the web version, or the button in the corner of Microsoft Edge, using your personal account) and the Work version that comes with Office 365. If you already use Excel or PowerPoint online, SharePoint, or Teams, sign in at m365.cloud.microsoft. The frequently asked question — “does this cost money?” — the answer is no: Copilot Chat is free. You can chat, attach files, and have it create documents and presentations. There is also Microsoft Designer, now split into its own site, for free image generation.

3) So what does the paid version add?

The paid Microsoft 365 Copilot license adds what are called Office Skills: Copilot embeds itself inside the Office apps. It can build a PowerPoint deck from within PowerPoint, write Excel formulas in place, read and summarize your Excel data, create new Excel files, and revise or rewrite emails directly inside Outlook. With the free chat version, you have to copy and paste its answers into your files yourself.

Data safety — look for “M365”

The key signal: any Copilot branded with 365 / M365 comes with Enterprise Data Protection — Microsoft promises not to use your data for training or resale. So if you work with sensitive company data, stick to the M365-branded Copilot, which exists in both free (Copilot Chat) and paid (M365 Copilot license) forms.

Practical takeaway: for personal use, the bundled PC Copilot is fine (just switch off model training). At work, start with the free Copilot Chat on your work account — you get Enterprise Data Protection at no cost. Only consider the paid license when you really want AI working inside Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for you.
